New Federal Regulations on E-Cigarettes and Nicotine – Can They Banning It Be Stopped?

The most recent news surrounding the planet of electric cigarettes and vapors is that kids are receiving hooked on them just as readily as adults. While it’s hard to argue that the flavorings along with other additives in the smokes aren’t dangerous, they can be quite addictive and create problems with quitting. It’s very problematic for a person to quit smoking without experiencing the withdrawal symptoms which are so synonymous with the physical act of smoking. That’s why it can be so important to educate teens concerning the serious health threats of teenage smoking and the dangers of e smokers using electric cigarettes.

So what does this all mean for smoking cessation products? For starters, we need to start paying more focus on how the companies that produce these products are promoting them. There is absolutely no doubt that lots of companies have pulled out the advertising money from television ads and other media in order to not only attract new customers but to eliminate the smokers that are already hooked. In a global where youth smoking is reaching all-time highs, companies offering vaporizers along with other smoking cessation products need to do greater than promote their product.

As a society we have come to rely on the cigarettes and vapors as our primary type of nicotine delivery. E cigarettes and other nicotine delivery systems have always been associated with smoking and being truly a drug. We’ve all grown up believing that smoking is cool, normal, best for your body and that there’s nothing wrong with it. That is why we end up getting patches, gums, lollipops and other nicotine replacement therapies. Even when it comes to long-term smoking cessation, we still put our rely upon products that mimic cigarettes.

In light of this it’s pretty clear that the cigarettes and other smoking cessation products need to be viewed much more closely. Just because a new product looks like a cigarette doesn’t imply that it’s going to work like a cigarette. The fact is that e cigarettes along with other nicotine delivery systems are not safe. They are not clear of exactly the same cancer-causing compounds and nicotine toxicities that cigarettes are. It is important to understand this if we want to minimize the impact of the cigarettes and vaping health risks.

The most frequent type of e cigarette and one of the initial smoking cessation products to gain wide public approval was the blu-ray. It looked and smelled just like a real cigarette and was supposed to help smokers kick the habit by mimicking the physical act of lighting a cigarette. In reality neither the blue screen of the Blu-ray nor the specific act of lighting a cigarette could make you stop smoking. Actually, individuals who used e cigarettes or vapes and didn’t light up found it hard to avoid. This was immediately apparent in the amount of people trying to quit using these products.

The FDA eventually received several reports concerning the negative side-effects produced by the application of these e cigarettes and decided to ban them. But they did not completely eradicate them from the marketplace. Instead, the federal government encouraged manufacturers to add a nicotine-reducing ingredient called the NRT in the products. The problem with this nicotine-reduction formula is that it generally does not reduce smoking simply by itself.

This was not the Puff Bar Flavors only real problem the Feds had with Vaping health. Many state and local governments felt that the Vaping health system was being abused. State and local municipalities were closing down the stores that offered Vaping products and claiming that the smokers were simply using the products as a way to bypass the smoking laws. Ultimately the FDA announced that they will be regulating the cigarettes and NRT just as they regulate tobacco products.

The bottom line is that there is without doubt that the FDA and the Eiffel tower were correct in banning the sale of the products. But we have to also take into account that smokers are able to use a vaporizer while they’re smoking. The new FDA regulations on the cigarettes and NRT will not change this fact. So essentially, the brand new FDA regulation banning the sale of fruit flavored and herbal flavored e cigarettes will really do little to help us quit smoking.
